Reliable Switching Performance and Excellent Repeatability with Pressure Switches
In many industrial processes, pressure switches monitor system pressure and control downstream equipment according to application-specific requirements. A pressure switch activates an electrical contact when the system pressure exceeds or falls below a defined threshold. Depending on the application, pressure switches are available with mechanical or electronic switching elements, with or without display, and with various adjustment options.
Mechanical pressure switches do not include a local display or analog output signal, but they offer outstanding repeatability and highly reliable switching behavior. As they operate without any external power supply, they are often used in safety-critical systems due to their inherent fail-safe characteristics.
These simple yet robust devices are ideally suited for monitoring tasks in heating and ventilation systems, compressors, pressure chambers, pipelines, tank levels, and hydraulic applications. Versions are available for use in hazardous (Ex) environments and with SIL certification for deployment in functional safety systems. When combined with diaphragm seals, they can also be used in hygienic applications, such as in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
